The Orbitrack is a revolutionary input device specifically designed for people with limited hand and wrist movement. Unlike a classic mouse, joystick, or trackball, Orbitrack requires no physical movement of the hand or wrist . The cursor is controlled by a light touch of a touch-sensitive ring , making the device extremely suitable for users with motor impairments, such as those with muscular dystrophy, carpal tunnel syndrome, or ALS . Operation is simple: the user moves their finger across the gray touch ring in the direction the cursor should go. For instance, touching the 2 o’clock position sends the cursor to the top-right corner. The central white dot serves as a finger rest and does not trigger movement – perfect for positioning. The cursor continues to move until the finger is lifted or returns to the center. For clicking and dragging, Orbitrack features concentric, touch-sensitive buttons that support left clicking, right clicking, double clicking, and dragging. These buttons can be disabled when external switches are connected via the 3.5 mm inputs – ideal for users who need to rest their hand on the device. Thanks to SmartTrack technology, the Orbitrack automatically adjusts the cursor speed based on recent use, ensuring smooth and intuitive operation. With a sealed design without moving parts , the device is reliable, low-maintenance, and resistant to dirt or liquids. The Orbitrack requires no drivers and is therefore perfect for work environments or healthcare institutions with strict IT regulations. The symmetrical design and large hand rest make it suitable for both left- and right-handed users.
